SALEM - Audith Joanne (Galchick) Syppko, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024, at her home in Salem, at the age of 89. She was born on November 24, 1934, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Green) Galchick.
Audith married Henry Syppko, on February 19, 1955. Their union was blessed with love, laughter, and two wonderful children. They shared 60 memorable years together until Henry's passing on July 2, 2015. She leaves one daughter, Paula Hartzell of Sebring; one son, Steve Syppko and his wife Sue of Scottsdale, Arizona; and her adored granddaughters, Andrea Hartzell of Sebring and Heather Rucker, along with her husband Justin, of Alliance.
She leaves six sisters, Bertha Stewart, Helen Ellis, Pat Lottman, Linda DeRienzo and her husband Mike, Kathy Rhodes and her husband Kevin, and Terri Paparodis and her husband Roy. Audith also leaves two sisters-in-law, Lillian Galchick and Karen Galchick, and her loving neighbor, Dot Confer, who was always there to lend a helping hand.
Besides her parents, Joe and Anna, and her husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dale Hartzell; four brothers, Chuck, Bill, Paul, and Joe; one sister, Dorie Bartha; and her brothers-in-law, Jack Stewart, Jack Ellis, and Larry Lottman; as well as her sisters-in-law, Lena Galchick and Audrey Galchick.
A proud graduate of Salem High School, class of 1953, Audith's strong work ethic was evident throughout her life. She dedicated 30 years to the Church Budget Envelope and Mailing Company, where she retired.
Audith was member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She found great joy in working in her flower gardens, but the most important thing in her life was her dedication and love for her family and friends.
A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in St. Paul Catholic Church.
